Cattle in stalls

COVID-19: One Week Post-Vaccination

A week ago, medical personnel herded me onto a systematized medical floor and into a small stall. There, I sat in a neat row amongst other fellow residents of my city. And one by one, we were each inoculated like cattle.

It was my second dose of Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine. So, in a few weeks, I should be prepared to re-enter this Brave New World of Zoonotic Threats to Humanity.

So far, the vaccine’s only side effect has been unshakable fatigue. I’m still recovering from multiple bone fractures, so my energy levels aren’t great to begin with. But the dip in my energy levels post-vaccination has been unmistakable. On Friday, the fatigue was so overbearing that I resorted to taking a scoop of caffeinated pre-workout powder, despite being in a wheelchair.

I also experienced what felt like intense nasal and sinus congestion in the mornings following the vaccination. I’m not sure if that was unrelated or the onset of some new allergy.

Anyway, this post is a short one. Apologies for that. I’m hoping the fatigue will subside in the weeks to come. But given that we’re all more or less voluntary test subjects for these vaccines, who knows what’s in store for me.

    1. Thanks! I hope your vaccination went (or will go) well. The pre-workout idea might sound intense, but it only amounted to about 166mg caffeine — nothing too crazy 😉
